Newsletter - December [Newsletter Archives]

Well, it's been a while in coming.  Thank you so much for your patience and all the calls
and emails asking when we would be updating the site.  I promised you some big news this
fall and here it is.  With the help of two of my best friends, Mark Hale and Dale Scragg,
we are launching the new Willowood Family of Artists.  I will be joined on the label by one
of Christian music's favorites, the Perry Sisters.  They have been off the road for quite a
while during some health issues that group member Diane Gillette suffered.  She is back in
great health and the group is back on the road with veteran soprano Tammy Underwood, Diane's
niece, and Nicole Mathews, Diane's daughter.  It is a family affair once again and you won't
believe how great they sound.  Gina Bean, who is the featured soloist on televangelist Perry
Stone's national conferences is with us.  She is an amazing singer and writer.  You'll also be
introduced to some new artists who are bringing a lot of different styles to our favorite
music.  They are Acclaim, Greg Lockridge, the Guardians, Heartland Harmony, Resurrection,
the Redemptions and the Shaffers.  You'll find links to their websites here so check them
out.  They will be making quite a splash in gospel music.

I am going back on the road with several Christmas dates and then taking new road dates in
2008.  I will still sing with the Christ Temple Choir and be very involved in the church.
But I feel that my songs have a message that needs to be shared outside the walls of my
church as well as inside.  God keeps opening doors and now is the time to walk through
those open doors.  I'm excited to be starting a new cd project in early 2008 with 12 songs
that I have written.  I also have new songs that I've written on new projects by Austin's Bridge,
the Hoppers, Martha Munizzi, who is really big in the praise and worship genre and many
others.  I'll be writing more than ever for Daywind Music Publishing on their Christian
Taylor Branch.  My wife Shirley will be traveling with me and I'm looking forward to new
dimensions in ministry opportunities.

Our son Michael, who is now 20, is traveling with Austin's Bridge as their drummer.  He
loves the guys and the ministry they offer.  If you haven't heard Austin's Bridge yet, you
need to treat yourself to a concert with them.  They are incredible!
You'll be seeing new updates each month so check back often and drop me an email.  I really
appreciate hearing from all of you who have emailed already.  And, if you get a chance, come
out and be with me in concert when I get to your area.  I'm thankful that God is taking me
to a new season in my life and I thank Him for all that the previous seasons have taught me.
I have learned to enjoy the journey everyday and I hope you can too.

See you next month,
John Darin
