Is
there anybody who has already started to look forward to spring
like me? I definitely love winter until New Year’s Day is over and
then, I’m done. It’s been a very strange winter here in the hills
of Kentucky and West Virginia. It’s warm one day and then freezing
the next. I do have to say I wouldn’t mind having one big snow before
it’s all over though.
Our
church has been on a fast for several weeks now. Our pastor asked
everyone to pray and ask the Lord what He would have each of us
do. I have found that a “fast” is very slow but the Lord has done
some amazing things already as a result of everyone’s obedience
and I believe the best is yet to come. I am looking forward to food
again, though, I can promise you!
Check
out my itinerary page if you’d like to come out sometime and be
with me in concert. I’m taking dates starting in April. I’d love
to get the chance to visit with you on the road somewhere if I’m
in your area. I’ll also be filling in with Karen Peck and New River
(my favorite group) a few days in March while Devin is off the road
with his wife having their new baby. That will be a lot of fun.
Thanks for your patience about my new project. I will be finishing
my vocals next week and the background vocals and mix in the next
2 weeks so I’m getting a lot closer.
Also,
I’ve been nominated for Southern Gospel Songwriter of the Year at
www.sogospelnews.com which was a wonderful surprise. The voting
starts on February 8th so stop by the website and vote for me or
one of my friends. If you get a chance, email me sometime. I’d love
to hear from you. Have a great February and stay warm. Remember
to trust in the Lord with all your heart like Proverbs 3:5,6 tells
us to do and you can’t go wrong. Til next month, God Bless!
